Dawsonville nudist resort going upscale

DAWSONVILLE - A Dawson County nudist resort is going upscale - and the first of 152 condominium units are now ready for occupancy.
Paradise Valley Resort, formerly Hidden Valley, was established nearly 30 years ago - and is one of three nudist resorts in northeast Georgia.
Paradise Valley now offers 16 two-bedroom, two-bath condos that start at $170,000. They are the first of 152 units planned to be built in the hills at the resort.
The nudity rule at Paradise Valley is clothing-optional. People may wear as much or as little as they like at the pool, the clubhouse, the bar and in the restaurant. The resort also offers dances on Friday and Saturday nights.
Joe Lettelier and his partners bought the property three years ago and decided to upgrade it.
He tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in a telephone interview that the nudist market is "a very traveling market" that is on the go. And he says many people who travel to nudist resorts want to buy property there once they arrive.
Paradise Valley staff members go by first names only and the manager, Jeff, says many people are surprised by the amenities of the place when they visit for the first time.
Other resorts in the area offer more modest surroundings, such as Serendipity Park, a family nudist park near Cleveland, and Bell Acres Recreational Enterprise, which offers a pool, hot tub, decks and a lodge at Maysville.

I received a call at our shop from a women asking if she could send me some fliers to post about an upcoming Biker rally. When I received the package of fliers it was from this resort. I could not believe it. I sent it right back "return to sender". We sure do not want to promote this type of event.

Well, I would never attend a nudist resort personaly, but I am a firm believer that to each their own.

I guess I just took offense because I think they must think all people involved in motorcycles would be an exibitionist.

I respect your opinions, but I also would like the general public to know that most nudist are just like you and me, and should not be classified as "exhibitionists" of any sort. I have many nudist friends and all are kind, fun-loving, normal people who just prefer to be nude when the setting allows it. I have visited Paradise valley, and can tell you that nothing even remotely sexual or perverse goes on there, ever. Such behavior is deemed highly inappropriate and persons doing so will be automatically asked to leave and not return. I respect that you are looking out for bikers reputations...but also see that there are many bikers who are nudists also and vice versa. Google..bare buns bikers

Believe me I know. We have been in the business for over 35 years. I still would not promote it in our shop. If anyone wants to run around naked so be it. I just will not support it. I don't have to look anything up to know some of the folks are exibitionist. Just go to any biker rally ie sturgis, daytona, myrtle beach or any others.
